Specialist cat care · Stamford
A rescuer's hands for your cat.
I've spent five years caring for the cats most sitters can't — senior, paralysed, deaf, blind and neurological. Now I bring that expertise to a small number of Stamford cats at a time. Everyday feeds and litter too, but complex care is where I'm at my best.
- 5 years' rescue experience
- Senior & special-needs specialist
- Behaviourist access
- Secure key holding
Why a specialist
When your cat needs more than a feed and a fuss.
The cats others turn away
Paralysed, blind, deaf, neurological, or simply old and fragile — these are the cats I've spent years caring for. Whatever your cat needs, it won't faze me.
A rescuer's eye
Rescue work teaches you to notice the small things early — off their food, hiding, a shift in behaviour — and to act. And I have cat behaviourists I can call on when it helps.
A small client list, on purpose
I take on only a handful of cats at a time, so yours gets unhurried, genuine attention — and you get one experienced person you can always reach.
Services
A specialist's care — for a few cats at a time.
My focus is the cats who need real expertise. I take on everyday feeds and litter too, but only for a small number of families at once — so every cat gets proper attention.
Senior & special-needs care
My speciality. Years of rescue experience with senior cats, paralysed cats, deaf and blind cats, and cats with neurological conditions. Medication on schedule, gentle handling and real patience — the cats other sitters worry about are the ones I know best.
Overnight stays
I stay over in your home so your cat keeps their evening routine and isn't alone through the night — invaluable for nervous cats, or ones who need medication or checking on after dark.
Holiday care
Daily visits for the length of your trip, with a photo update each time. Go away knowing your cat — however simple or complex their needs — is genuinely looked after.
Everyday drop-in visits
The essentials, done properly: feed, top up fresh water and scoop the litter tray. A fair price for straightforward care — with all my experience behind it should anything ever seem off.
Home extras
Happy to water plants, bring in the post, and open and close curtains so your home looks lived-in while you're away.
Not sure which fits? Tell me about your cat and your dates and I'll put together a simple, honest quote — no obligation.
A small fuel charge may apply to villages further out — I'll always tell you upfront. Bank holidays and the Christmas period are charged at a higher rate.
About me
Five years of rescue. Now caring for your cat.
I've had pets in my life for as long as I can remember, and over the last five years, I've focused that lifelong love into rescuing and rehoming cats in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. I worked independently and alongside the team at Rescat, and I still support their rescue efforts in Bahrain from here in the UK.
Rescue work teaches you things standard pet care just can't. I've nursed cats through critical illness, and cared for seniors, paralysed cats, deaf and blind cats, and cats with neurological conditions. I spent a lot of time working with multiple cat breeds, and whenever I may need advice, I consult a core group of six experienced rescuers and a professional cat behaviourist.
I bring all of that hands-on experience home with me to Stamford. Whether your cat is young and full of energy, or older and needs medication, chances are I've cared for a cat like yours before. I work calmly, patiently, and always on the cat's own terms. I keep my client list intentionally small so every cat receives unhurried, genuine affection, and you always have one reliable person to reach out to.

Privacy policy
How Mews Cat Care collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated:
Mews Cat Care ("I", "me", "my") is a sole-trader cat-sitting business based in Stamford, UK. I take your privacy seriously and only collect the information I need to provide my service. This policy explains what I collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who is responsible for your data
I am the data controller for the information you share with me. You can contact me at any time about your data: hello@mewscatcare.co.uk or 07741 876010.
What I collect
When you enquire or book, I collect only what's needed to care for your cat and reach you: your name, email address, phone number, home address (for visits), details about your cat and its care, and any dates and instructions you give me. I don't collect anything else, and I don't ask for payment details through this website.
Why I use it, and my legal basis
I use your information to reply to enquiries, arrange and carry out visits, keep in touch about your booking, and keep basic records. The legal basis is usually to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform that contract; where it isn't, it's my legitimate interest in running a reliable, safe service, or your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who I share it with
I don't sell your information or share it for marketing. I may share limited details where genuinely needed — for example, with your vet in an emergency, or where the law requires it. This website is hosted by Netlify, and enquiry-form messages are handled through Netlify's form service; their systems process the data you submit so it can reach me.
How long I keep it
I keep your details for as long as you're a client and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you book again or for my own records and tax obligations, then delete them. You can ask me to delete your data sooner.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how I use it. To do any of these, just email me. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how I've handled your data.

Cookie policy
The short version: this is a simple site and it doesn't track you.

What this site does use
The only technical data involved is what any website needs to load — handled by the host, Netlify, to serve the pages and keep the site secure. If you send an enquiry through the contact form, the details you type are processed so your message reaches me (see the ). That's it — no advertising pixels, no social-media trackers.

Terms & conditions
The basis on which I provide cat care through Mews Cat Care.
Last updated:
These terms apply when you book cat-care services with Mews Cat Care, a sole-trader business based in Stamford, UK. Booking a service means you agree to them. They're written to be clear and fair — if anything's unclear, just ask.
Booking and quotes
Prices shown on this website are a guide and starting point; your final price is confirmed in a quote based on your cat's needs, the number of visits, and your location. A booking is confirmed once we've agreed the details and dates. For complex or special-needs care, I'll usually arrange a free meet-and-greet first.
Keys and access
To carry out visits I'll need secure access to your home, usually by holding a key for the duration of the booking. I keep keys securely and without your address attached to them, and return or securely hold them as agreed.
Your cat's health and information
You agree to give me accurate, complete information about your cat — including feeding, medication, behaviour, and any medical conditions — and up-to-date vet details. In an emergency I'll always try to reach you first, but if I can't, you authorise me to seek veterinary care in your cat's best interest; you remain responsible for any veterinary costs.
Payment
Payment terms are confirmed when you book. A deposit is taken at the time of booking to secure your dates, with the balance due after the final visit. I'll confirm the exact amount and how to pay (usually by bank transfer) when we arrange your booking — I never ask for payment or card details through this website.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel, please let me know as early as you can. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours' notice are free of charge. Any deposit paid is refundable where you cancel with reasonable notice. Because I keep my client list small, late cancellations can mean turning other cats away, so early notice is always appreciated.
Liability
I'll always take proper care of your cat and your home. I can't accept liability for pre-existing conditions, illness or behaviour outside my control, or for issues arising from incomplete or inaccurate information you've given me. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
